BRAD HUNSUCKER

Drilling Engineer

Brad Hunsucker is a highly skilled and results-driven oil and gas engineer with extensive experience in various aspects of drilling and well operations. With a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility, Brad has made significant contributions throughout his career as a drilling engineer, production engineer, and wells engineer.

As a production engineer, Brad was responsible for optimizing production and identifying opportunities for improvement. He led day-to-day field operations, managed LOE budgets, and delivered AFE estimates. His proactive approach to production optimization helped maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Brad also played a critical role on a well integrity team tasked with identifying, evaluating, and remediating problem wellbores in the Gulf Coast Region. He coordinated surveillance plans that included over 400 temperature surveys per year and assessed wellbore integrity for future field development plans. His expertise in wellbore treatments and stimulations, as well as his experience with P&A and TA operations, helped ensure the success of the project.

As a drilling engineer, Brad has designed safe and cost-effective drilling procedures for CO2 environments and planned and executed intercept wells using passive and active ranging tools. His experience in new drill design, completion and re-completion design, artificial lift design and installation, and downhole risk assessment has helped him successfully execute numerous projects from concept to finished product. He has also performed post-well analysis to identify areas for improvement in performance and costs. Brad is a great addition to SDS Petroleum Consultants and will bring his team-oriented and results-driven approach to SDS.
